What does Scenergia do?
Scenergia builds the infrastructure for the physical, printed and digital worlds that appear on screen. It is the company behind three tools for film, television and commercial productions: Skenic for the physical world, Chronotype for the printed world and Mombie for the digital world. It also uses them to build worlds for productions as a service.
One company, three products
Scenergia is the company. Skenic, Chronotype and Mombie are its products. Each keeps its own name and its own site, and each covers one layer of the world a script invents.
- SkenicThe physical world. Props, set dressing, vehicles and locations. Skenic breaks the script down, finds the suppliers who have what it asks for, and keeps the production hub in one place.Discover
- ChronotypeThe printed world. Documents, newspapers, packaging, signage, labels, menus, maps, photographs and signatures. Seventeen studios, period-correct and fictional.Create
- MombieThe digital world. The phones and screens in shot: messages, calls, notifications and interactive on-camera UI, cued from the director's tablet.Control
How they fit together
Scenergia builds the world behind the scene. Skenic finds the physical things the script needs. Chronotype creates the printed and graphic world. Mombie puts the digital world on camera. All three are built to connect in the same production world, so the company on the letterhead is the same company on the van and in the phone.
What connects them is the production file: one record per production, holding the title, year, country, town, the firm at the centre of the story, places, cast, and how strict the period has to be.
What it does for a production
Besides making the tools, Scenergia takes on the work itself. A production hands over a scene or a sequence and gets back its world: the graphics, the props, the screens and the continuity between them, at a fixed price.
What it is not
Scenergia is not a fourth product, and it is not a general production-management suite. It does not schedule a shoot or track a budget. It deals with one thing: the world that appears in front of the lens.
Who is behind it
Scenergia was founded by Panagiotis Zachoulitis, a set graphic designer for film, television and commercials, based in Athens and working internationally. The tools came out of that work.
